Thanks, Jason. My greatest interest is in the service of the brigade in 1864 and 1865. One soldier letter (a sergeant in the 18th La. Cav. Batt.) states that command of Scott's brigade fell to Col. Frederick Nash Ogden, whose newly-organized regiment comprised Scott's brigade along with the 1st, 3rd, and 18th battalion. They were engaged under Brig.Gen. Wirt Adams against Croxton's Union cavalry on April 6, 1865, in west Alabama. Interested to know casualties, though the sergeant's letter suggests that Scott's brigade saw only minimal action on that date.
