Re: galvanized Yankees from Louisiana

Upon review of your information, I found that two of the men you have listed, #7 - Joseph Granger, and #11 - Peter Stanton, are not found in the Brooks/Jones book! (There is a Patrick Stanton listed in Company A, but he was still in the ranks at the Wilderness where he was wounded.)

The additional names of the men that joined the 3rd Maryland Cavalry are:

A. Major of Co. A (birthplace unknown)
Francois Martin of Co. F (born in France)
Henry Myers of Co. F (born in Germany....may be related to Frederick Myers)
Pierre Tapie of Co. F (born in France)
Jules Delherbe of Co. I (born in Louisiana)
Edward Liender of Co. I (born in France)

Other than the 16 men listed as joining the 3rd Maryland Cavalry, there are an additional 26 men from the 10th Louisiana Infantry listed as "Galvanized Yankees". There are also 74 men listed as "Deserters" and 47 more that took the "Oath of Allegiance". Total 163 men.
