It's been Years since I have read the book Irish Rebels Confederate tigers about the 6th La, but I really thought they were mentioned as being from that brigade. The brigade of the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. I think the casualties of Hays brigade was 50-60 percent. The Massachussetts unit they fought lost 70 percent I think. It must have been great being there near the anniversary.
