Question - we all know of the famous photo of Confederate dead along the fence line along Hagerstown Pike. I;ve been told it was members of the 2nd Louisiana Brigade (Starke). A friend went to the 150th Anniversary event at Sharpsburg this past weekend and during a tour of the battlefield he was informed that the picture was of members of the 8th La, of the 1st La Brigade (Hays).
Has there been a change in who/whom the dead are?
