Tiburse Norres, Private, Company E, 7th Regiment Louisiana Cavalry, surrendered with his company at New Orleans May 26, 1865 and paroled at New Iberia, La. June 11, resident of Parish St. Martin, La., no other records

Emile Norris, Corporal, (2nd) Company A, Daly's Battalion Texas Mounted Troops, enlisted April 10, 1864 at Caleasieu, transferred November 22, 1864 to his original command Yellow Jacket Battalion,*** resident of Calcasieu, his file contains correspondence** between the Adjutant General, War Department with the Louisiana Board of Pension Commissioners in which the AG notes " . . . name of soldier [Emellien Norris] not found in any rolls", description: 20 year old Farmer, born in St. Martin County, La., black hair, dark complexion, hazel eyes, 5' 8"

Ragsdale's Battalion Texas Cavalry was organized in October 1862 and was known at various times as the 4th Battalion Arizona Brigade, the 2d Battalion, Arizona Brigade, the 1st Battalion Arizona Brigade, Davidson's Battalion Texas Cavalry and Daly's Battalion Texas Cavalry

** Note: This would indicate that either he or his widow filed for a Confederate pension while a Louisiana resident.

*** I have been unable to locate a Yellow Jacket Battalion

Traville Norris, Corporal, Company A, Ragsdale's Battalion Texas Cavalry, recorded on the January and February, 1865 muster rolls as absent with leave, "detained by high water," resident of Calcasieu Parish, listed on an undated list as among men having unserviceable horses, list endorsed April 10, 1865, no other records
