I am trying to determine the war info on William F. Grubbs, perhaps known as Bill. My great grandmother remembers him leaving home and waving goodbye, he was never heard from again. I have searched records and cannot find him. There is a William S. Grubbs in the 6th Louisiana but I don't think it is him. HIs brothers Francis M. and James were both in 16th MIss Inf as that is where all the Grubbs family remained. I cannot find him in a Miss or a Louisiana unit. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. He was 36 in 1860 census, Orchard Grove TSP, Bossier Parrish.
