"The Conduct of Federal Troops in Louisiana"

I don't have this book in my library but was told that it addresses a situation where a group of free black slaveholders in the Teche area sued the Federal government for loss of property after the war due to Banks confiscating their slaves in order to help him build works. If anybody has this book and can shed more information on this, specifically the outcome of the suit, I'd greatly appreciate it.
