I am the grandson of Albert Thomas, born 1822 in Kentucky and married to Mary A Gibbs in Bardstown in 1847. Do you know if there is any connection to your grandfather, Albert C Thomas and uncle Albert D Thomas who served in the 4th KY? The last I can find on him is the 1850 census for Nelson Co., where he is listed with his wife and two daughters, Susan (age 5) & Mary (age 3). Mary Elizabeth was my grandma. Any info will most appreciated.
