It looks like he was working for the Brigade A. Q. M., Major Hawes. However, I cannot make out his pay statement for services rendered in his on-line file. You need to obtain his hard copy records to see if you can make out the details. See the service noted in the Red enclosed box above.

May 20, resident of Wooodford County, Ky., fair complexion, light hair, blue eyes, 6' height, no other records
