Re: Volume III, 1863 - Riley Marion Byrd???

Hi Steven -

Just curious if you have ever run across the name of Riley Marion Byrd in any of the research you have done?

He lived in Stewart Co. TN, across the Tennessee River from Calloway Co. KY (Murray area). Despite circumstantial evidence indicated he was a CSA soldier, I have been unable to confirm this.

Was wondering if he might have belonged to a Kentucky unit or perhaps a partisan/guerrilla unit of some sort?

He is buried in the Stalls Cemetery, Stewart Co. TN (LBL NRA nowadays). If I can ever confirm his CSA service, I would love to get him a CSA vet grave marker from the VA sometime in the future.

Any and all help, suggestions, etc. you might be able to give would be VERY greatly appreciated!!!!!

Thanks for your time,

Kenneth Byrd
