Capt. Felix Johnston Staton, the brother of Joseph P., enlisted in and served his entire military service in Company A of the Third Kentucky Infantry, CSA. Companies A and G were the only Marshall County, Kentucky, companies in the Third. Company B was not a Marshall County unit.
