Zach Gardner born Aug. 15 1829.Ms son of Isaac and Rebecca (Johnson) Gardner both are Choctaw- moved to Indian Territory in 1832 to the Rush Creek area,later known as Pauls valley-he remained in this area all his life.
Attended Spencer Academy-twice married 1st Elsie Mackey-one child--- 2nd wife was married Sept 8, 1852 to a Choctaw Livinia McKinney-- four children.
In the Civil war under Confed. Major George Washington Caddo Indian Battalion guarding the Indian Territory into Texas.
