There are, of course, CW vets buried in the post cemetery at Fort Reno, who died as active duty post war Regulars, as well as some at Fort Gibson National Cemetery (for instance, Cpl. John J. Brown, Co. B, Fifth U.S. Infantry,
died 1874, who was in a Wisconsin unit during the War of the Rebellion). Also, the Fort Sill post cemetery, now an
NC. Unless, one knows who these are or have their service records, they will go unnoticed.
