Burials in Oklahoma

For anyone interested in veterans buried in Oklahoma:

www.geocities.com/mahldude/CWinfo.html

note: the CW must be upper case.

if that URL doesn't work, the old style should:

www.geocities.com/Heartland/Forest/7014/CWinfo.html

I have begun reformating my database files from my old (1986) computer to mmiccrosoft word dicuments and converting that to html and putting it on my website. This is a slow process, but I have about half the entries (about 6700) posted so far. Since the old database file is no longer compatable with my programs on our newer computer, "reformatting" means saving the database to text, then taking out field spacing and using tabs to line things up. A slow process!

I hope to add the rest of the database to my site by the end of March. Information is all included in the SUVCW national database. The difference is that I include a separete entry for each unit a man fought in. So if a man fought in two Arkansas CSA units and then fought in a USA unit, he is listed three times in my database.

If anyone has more specific info on a man's unit, or if you know of a veteran buried in Oklahoma, I would appreciate your forwarding that information.

Also on the site are GAR Post records, newspaper lists of reunion attendees, and other Civil War in OK information.
