Not sure about the 85th designation although it was early in the war. I also do not see a lot of the higher ranking officers around....just the Major.

After the 1864 Georgia Militia Reorganization it looked like this:

34TH Military District Georgia Militia

Georgia Militia Battalion of Henry County
Major Robert Sandifer Henry County
Major E. S. Fargason

Henry County Georgia Militia, 1ST Company
Capt. Willis Goodwin Henry County
1ST Lieut. A. W. Turner
2ND Lieut. W. S. Sloan
3RD Lieut. Elijah Phillips
4TH Lieut. John D. Ramsey

Henry County Georgia Militia, 2ND Company
Capt. R. M. Lummis Henry County
1ST Lieut. T. H. Bryan
2ND Lieut. B. O. McDonald
3RD Lieut. S. N. Rape
4TH Lieut. T. H. Stallworth

Henry County Georgia Militia, 3RD Company
Capt. A. H. Hightower Henry County
1ST Lieut. Thomas J. Robinson
2ND Lieut. G. H. Cook
3RD Lieut. P. J. Walker
4TH Lieut. Robert Grant

Henry County Georgia Militia, 4TH Company
Capt. S. E. Glass Henry County
1ST Lieut. A. Brown
2ND Lieut. John H. Low
3RD Lieut. James M. Creddle
4TH Lieut. R. Sandifer

Henry County Local Defense Company, Police
Capt. Thomas G. Barnett Henry County
1ST Lieut. W. C. Welch
2ND Lieut. Daniel Grafton
3RD Lieut. Levi H. Turner

This battalion along with the Georgia Militia Battalions of Gwinnett and Dekalb Counties were referred to as the 34TH Military District Georgia Militia.
