Re: Georgia Pension Question August R. Churchill

The Adjutant General, War Department response to the Georgia Pension Board was dated May 9, 1916. It appears Augustus died in 1916. I suspect that his widow filed for a widow's pension and referenced only his 1st Georgia Infantry attachment as this is the unit he appears to have identified among his local comrades and unaware of his Mississippi unit.
