Street Kemp, Private, Company G, 11th Georgia Infantry, enlisted July 3, 1861 at Atlanta, Ga. by Maj. Calhoun for the war, assigned extra duty as Teamster January 1 to February 18, 1862, admitted Chimborazo Hospital, Richmond, Va. August 13, 1862, Debility, returned to duty August 23, 1862, admitted Chimborazo Hospital June 18, 1863, Rheumatism, transferred to 2nd Division Jackson Hospital, Richmond, Va. August 5, 1863, furloughed for 30 days September 12, recorded April 1, 1864 as absent without leave since October 26, 1863, recorded on the Mar/Apr, 1864 muster roll* as having deserted, “exact time, not known,” description: age 37, blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, 5’ 10”

* Note, there are no subsequent Company G muster rolls in the records which precludes knowledge of any possible subsequent service
