Re: Smoothbore muskets at Gettysburg

Just read an account in Confederate Veteran magazine, vol. 19, p. 13, by John L. G. Woods of Company B, 53rd Georgia. He writes that at Chancellorsville, his regiment was armed with muskets that fired "a ball with three buckshot."
