Thanks for all that work. I have seen in the 1850 census that it lists W.L. and then W.P. in 1860 but took look at the actual census I can not say 100% that it is a "L". That could be him though. Not sure how far Lagrange AL is compared to Calhoun & Cherokee Counties. I know Armstrong had a brother in Randolph county that owned a plantation. It could have been W.P. not sure what the P could have stood for but may check that out. It may be impossible to be sure.
