Thanks Guys. Did some further research since the 1st post and found the same. G.P. Gordy was president Carters GG uncle and a distant relative of Motowns Berry Gordy hows that for crazy. He died from wounds in Oct 1864 trying to find out where. What action he was wounded. Any info would be appreciated. I'm editing an article about his uniform which is locked up in the vault of the Chattahoochee courthouse.
