Lewis Henderson Bennett, also listed as Levi Bennett, lived in the Antioch community in Troup County Ga. His older brother Richard D. Bennett lived near State Line in Heard County. A record for L. H. Bennett shows that he enlisted at Franklin, Heard County Ga., May 12, 1862. His name appears on a payroll for June 13, 1862 with no later record.
