The flag was sent via the Steamboat Mary E. Keene
from New Orleans to Helena, Ark.
Apparently made in New Orleans and paid for by either
Mrs. Davis or someone representing her.
See New Orleans Daily Delta of June 14, 1861 and the
Richmond Examiner of June 15, 1861.
Letters of presentation and acceptance are published
in both of those papers.
