Re: Ark Color bearer at Iuka for Ken Legendre

The color bearer was written in the Record of Events as Janet Oliver, not Ganet Oliver. The cursive ‘J’ written by the copiest in the Company C Record of Events is identical to the ‘J’ of the Capt. Joseph Dodson who was Company C Captain.

Jennett/Jannett/Jennet Oliver, Company C, 17th (Griffith’s) Arkansas Infantry, enlisted November 13, 1861 at Fort Smith, Ark. by Capt. Dodson for 12 months, recorded present at the February 28 to June 30, 1862 muster, last recorded present at the Sep/Oct, 1862 muster, last paid June 30, 1862
