A article describing a flag presentation appears in
the Newberry (SC) Rising Sun of Feb. 13, 1861.
The flag is presented to the Company calling itself the "Snow Hill" Company, commanded by a Captain
J. C. S. Brown. Another officer of the company is named Moorman. The Color Bearer Robert Land.
Stated as part of the "Eastern Battalion of the 38th
Regiment", under command of James H. Williams.

Williams becomes Colonel of the 3rd SC Inf. However, no trace of the other three named individuals can be found.

Anyone know who these guys turned out to be?
