9th Virginia Cavalry Flag

I have a friend here in Eastern Virginia that is the ggg grandson of Walter Scott Callis. Callis was a member of Co. B, the Color Company for the 9th Virginia Cavalry. He cut this flag from it's staff and made his way home to Bowling Green, Virginia before the surrender at Appomattox. The flag was sold last year and has been stabilized and conserved. It goes up for auction on March 11th at James D. Julia, Inc. in Fairfield, Maine. Break open your piggy banks fellows. Thanks for your help with this Greg Biggs. I spoke with Jay just a few minutes ago and he sure hopes this flag makes it back home to Virginia.
