This is another "Google alert site/article" I received on this subject.
This was a outstanding help, I have had to track all Union regiments that BG. Cleburne's brigade faced at Shiloh and list them all and do a process of elimination. That is still difficult neither side wrote who lost flags, or captured flags. With the 72nd Ohio losing their regimental flag I would highly suggest the 2nd Tennessee Infantry regiment and/or the 24th Tennessee Infantry regiment (Both being on the left of BG Cleburne's brigade.) Since the 72nd Ohio was on the right of Colonel Buckland's brigade, it is highly probably the 2nd Tenn/24th Tenn captured that regimental flag.
