Alan,
The flag of the Edwards Guards was framed in a manner that
only the white bar of a first national could be seen.
Inscribed on that bar in red paint was "Presented by the ladies
of Washington Parish to the Edwards Guards".
Rick's Hotel closed in the early 1990's. No one has seen the flag
since that time. Nor does anyone know what became of it.
Why the interest in the 16th Louisiana?
