Greg, you are familiar with this item. It is the flag captured by Captain Gibbs at Nashville in 1862. Although I have been collecting ACW for 30+ years, this is my first flag of any consequence. I want to be very careful about preservation and display so I sure appreciate the advise. Also, I have been a bit inept at uncovering detailed history on this flag. We know the date and location of capture. I am not having much success in finding additional information. I would appreciate any ideas or advise with respect to how to uncover more detailed history.
