Folks,
My last transmission in the very note below was mistakenly entered under a Connecticut flag heading. Please read the entire message as it pertains to an OHIO flag returned from Gettysburg. One other thing worth noting is that the gentleman from Pennsylvania commenting on the flag infers that it was the same regiment that lost a flag as also captured an 8th La. flag at Cemetery hill. This would have been the 107th Ohio as Adjutant Peter Young performed that duty. I do not know if the 107th lost a flag that night. I think we could rule out Weidrich's battery guidon as this flag was not a guidon but a regimental flag. Any ideas?
