Thanks for that information. I hadn't searched much on the hall itself yet, other than trying to contact the city (still waiting for anything for them). I have to agree with you that there is a good possibility the flag was lost in the fire, unless for some reason it was in the care of someone else at the time (i.e. taken out by the regimental association for a reunion or something similar). My hope is the city can confirm if it had possession at the time. From relatives that live near and went to college at Lowell, they say the building may have been turned into an historic theater...still looking for more on that as well. It is interesting to read about the Phillipoteaux connection with the building as well. Thanks for your information. Maybe next we'll hear something about that missing State color.
