Re: 44 caliber brass bullet mold

Fredrick, Thanks, I thought it was something like that, maybe local made since it had no sprue cutter and only the 66/99 stampings, but it looks well made. I'm taking pictures of it before and after I restore the rusted away iron rivet that held the two halves together. I plan on casting some 44 caliber round balls in it to have some bullets from an original mold found at Camp Nelson. The casting cavity and the mold in general is in excellent condition. I found a number of 44 caliber round balls at Camp Nelson, so maybe I can make a match with one of the original balls.
