I know that there were true sniper rifles such as the Whitworth, Kerr, '59 Sharps, etc. But any true sharpshooters use regular weapons such as Enfields in the role of Sharpshooter? Just curious. My Japanese made repro 1863 Springfield that I used to have was a very accurate rifled-musket. I have had like three of them, two or three '61 Springfields and Enfields, and a couple of Sharps, over the years (all repros of course), and those 1863 Rifled Muskets were the most accurate. The least accurate ones were the repro Sharps. Terroble!
