I have come across a Spencer Repeater #41779. It has J.H. Johnston Great Western Gun Works Pittsburgh, Pa "Old Reliable" stamped on the top side of the barrel. I am guessing this was not a military issued but a personal gun taken into the Civil War. This was used by someone from Indiana. Just looking for more information, or insight. I have emailed Flayderman and waiting for a response.
thanx.
