I found this letter from the wife of C.Perry Goodrich, Co. I , 1st. Wisconsin Cavalry written in reply to her husband then at Cape Girardeau, Missouri Aug. 22,1862. Appears Perry survived the fight with Colonel Parson's Texas Rangers at L'Anguille, Arkansas Aug. 3, 1862 by swimming his horse across the river. Perry told his wife the Texas Rangers took few prisoners.
