It's funny how one can come across material from strange angles, such as you just did. Mr. Gregg Biggs once posted a query on the AL Board asking if the Selma AL powder mill ever really was a going concern. I searched around in various places and finally found an obit that mentioned the deceased was head of the Selma powder mill, thus not only proving it was in operation, but gave Mr. Biggs a name on which to work.
