Yes he survived the war, he died in 1886. This quest started because three days ago I found his broken headstone in an abandon cemetery in a remote area of Prairie County, Arkansas, and he was of possible civil war service age. I believe I also found the broken headstone of another Confederate veteran, Samuel Cochran 1825 - 1877. I will go back and work the cemetery some more as there may be more veterans out there. The cemetery is in a sad state of affairs. I'm sure some families would like to know of these men's final resting place.
