I have a question regarding the Illinois site that has all of the
groups listed. Does anyone have the site connection???
My young cousin who is probably 27 by now, has recently
realized his grandfather's ancestor in Arkansas County was a Fread
from Illinois who fought at Arkansas Post among other places.
He would be interested in learning more, so can anyone help me out?
One Fread was killed in that area, and the other either never left or either
returned after the war.
Is it possible to tell if the man was a Jew as the current generation believes
he could have been???
