The muster rolls which the courier carried to Richmond were the March 1 to April 30, 1863, rolls. They did make it to Richmond and eventually ended up at the National Archives. During one of my visits there many years ago, I transcribed the rolls from Clark's Regiment Missouri Infantry, since the regiment included four Arkansas companies. For some reason, as George noted below, they were not made part of the National Archives collection of Clark's 9th Missouri Infantry, but were broken out separately as Clark's Regiment. Don't want to make things too easy for us researchers, you know.
