I wonder if these muster rolls from Fort Pleasent on the Arkansas River, and Frost/Clark's brigade ever reached Richmond, Since that would have been the last complete muster roll of these unit before they abandoned Fort Pleasent and move to Little Rock?
If Col. Clark was in Command of this Brigade, then what did General Frost consider himself in charge of, since it was his brigade that Col. Clarks was commanding? We know that Col. Clark and some of his command was raiding Union shipping on the lower Mississippi River between Arkansas Post and Gaines Landing to the Louisiana Line during this period. This is probably how the courier planned to get across the Mississippi River.
So many questions, so few answers.
