Seriously, Danny, setting up my database is the best idea I ever had. Even though it's far from finished, it's enabled me to identify men who served in multiple units and combine their records. To help in identifying specific men, I've cranked in census data, land records, genealogical information, etc. It's still a work in progress, though, and there are hundreds of men for whom all I have is last name and initials and bare-bones service records. The work you're doing on the 26th Arkansas Infantry has been a wealth of information for my database.
