In researching the various bushwhackers up here in NWA, all of Tuck Smith's guerrilla band who applied for pensions applied as members of Company K, Stirman's Regiment or Smith's Company, Stirman's Regiment. I don't know if this was official or not, or if they just "rode along" with Stirman on occasion, but all of Smith's men that applied did so that way.

There is a section on Tuck Smith, with mentions of activities with Stirman, in "Under the Black Flag: The Real War in Washington County", a thesis at the UA by Jay Prier.
