Independence Co. AR

I have found that Larkin Prince and his son are not related to me as I understand now. I am wondering where I could go to find a list of all Independence CO. AR soldiers that fought on either side with the last name of Prince. My great-grandfather William Prince and his wife Marth Lamberson Prince of Ind. Co AR are on the 1860 census and have both died by the 1870 census. I have been told that AR was in such a state of turmoil after the war that many people were mudered and their descendents may never find out what happened to them. Supposedly death records were stopped because they couldn't keep up with everyone dying and missing. Is this true? Is there anyway that I can pinpoint when William Prince born in 1813 and Martha Lamberson Prince born in 1825 that are listed as living in Independence Co, AR in White River Township in the 1860 census died and if it was involved with the war some how? They were both young so they shouldn't have died naturally. Thank you ahead to anyone who can answer my qyestions. Lisa Montgomery
