He was recorded present on the Jan/Feb, 1864 muster roll, the Mar/Apr, 1864 muster roll is missing. He is next recorded present on September 12, 1864. It seems most likely that he was present at Resaca Church in May.

Isaac P. Haynes, Private, Company K, South Arkansas Regiment,* enlisted December 23, 1861 at Camp Benjamin [Benton County, Ark.] by Maj. James H. May for 12 months, wounded at the Battle of Murfreesboro, absent in hospital through February, 1863, present at the Mar/Apr, 1863 and Jan/Feb, 1864 musters, last recorded present on the September 12, 1864 muster, receipted for an issue of clothing September 30, 1864, no further records

* This company subsequently became Company K, 4th Regiment Arkansas Infantry
