I went back through his Compiled Service Records, but didn’t find mention of a wound received at Chickamauga, only at Murfreesboro. This doesn’t necessarily mean he wasn’t wounded at Chickamauga, it just means there is no mention of it in the records. He was in the hospital recovering from his Murfreesboro wound at least through February 1863, and he was present at all musters since, so he was at Chickamauga. In addition, there was no reference as to the type of wound, nor to which part of his body that received it. Do you recall the source from which you got his wounding at Chickamauga?
