Re: 30th Arkansas Infantry, Co. E

Jesse Skipper, Private, Company E, McNeill's Regiment, Arkansas Infantry,* enlisted June 14, 1862 at Little Rock by Lt. Col Gibbs for 3 years, his presence on the June 14, 1862 muster roll was "not stated," no further information

Note: This is the one and only card in his file which is Company E's Muster Roll dated June 14, 1862 in which his presence was not stated. The next surviving Company E muster roll was that for the period March 1 to April 30, 1863 when they were stationed near Little Rock. As his presence was not indicated, it is assumed that he had been dropped from the rolls during the intervening period. This could have been for transfer, discharge, death, capture, desertion, etc. Based on these records, we have no idea of his fate.

* This regiment was also known as 30th Regiment Arkansas Infantry
