i need you help in identifying some idividuals in a story written by Mrs. Sallie E. Jordan. The soldiers she mentioned in her story were Capt. Abbot, a U.S. Transporter, and Maj Newsome, assisting her and her mother at the Spadra Bluff loading platform. I believe Maj. Newsome might be associated with Col. Gideon M. Waugh's unit from Clarksville. And Doctors Boot and Adams of Kansas, Federal doctors in Waugh units?
