* This company was formed by the consolidation of Capt. Hailey's and Capt. Perkins' Companies which were mustered into serve as cavalry and served as such until Aug. 29 and Sept. 16, 1862 respectively.

The Regiment was successively designated as Johnson's Regiment Arkansas Infantry, Hawthorn's Regiment Infantry, Polk's Regiment Arkansas Infantry and Cocke's Regiment Arkansas Infantry
