I have a client who has asked me to look into Ashleys civil war records and family background before the war. He told me that Ashley was his great-grandfather on his mothers side. I have a burial location and now am looking for an obit. From the family I am told he served in a CSA regiment with his younger brother, but the only two of the names given I have found served in the 2nd Mississippi. However, one was captured at Gettysburg and the other was killed in Pickets charge, thus that ain't them. He did in western Arkansas NW of Arkedelphia new the oklahoma line.
