John Hinds bond

My gg Grandfather, John B. Hinds, was reported to be in the CSA during the Civil War. He was from Madison Co., but he married Nancy Burnett of Benton Co. and they lived in McDonald Co. Mo before the war. In the 1861 McDonald Co. tax records there was a 'CSA' notation by his record. He and Nancy moved back to AR during the war. I am searching for his regiment. We thought that he was in the 32nd AR Infantry but that has been disputed. There is a $2000 bond signed by him, his Father, and another man on the 19th of February, 1863 where he swears 'that during the present rebellion he will not go beyond the lines of the Federal armies nor any section of the country in possession of the enemy'. This was signed in Washington Co. but he is listed as a resident of Madison Co. Does anyone know under what circumstance would he would have had to sign this? Also, I have an Oath signed by John Hinds (maybe him or maybe his uncle) swearing that he will support, ..... of US Govt and not go within the lines of the Confederate States. This was signed on the 4th of July, 1862. Any help would be appreciated.
