No the 14th was consolidated with some of the smaller independent units from Miss and La to form the 14th Cavalry under Powers, but they were all brigaded together there for a while. I will have to look but I think some of the unit consolidated with Garland and Rhodes Miss cavalry, and Miles and Mullens La Cavalry. Not sure how long Powers commanded it but he did work in concert with Logan and his brigade for a while there.
